Parent Mentor Program
Empowering parents to support students, strengthen schools, and make an impact in their community.

About PMP
The Parent Mentor Program (PMP) empowers parents, primarily Latina and Black mothers, to address persistent equity gaps in education by becoming active in their child's school and community.

Parent Mentors volunteer in a classroom for two hours each day, working one-on-one or in small groups with students to support learning and provide additional attention where it’s needed.

Throughout the program, mentors receive weekly training in classroom instruction, leadership, and professional development, helping them build confidence and valuable skills both in and outside the classroom.

Parent Mentors commit to at least 100 volunteer hours and, upon completion, receive a small stipend in recognition of their time and impact.
